Welcome to the family! There isn’t another university in the world like the University of San Diego! We are incredibly lucky to spend our college years at such an amazing place, located in the heart of “America’s Finest City.” I am honored to serve as President of Associated Students.
Associated Students, or “AS,” is here to make sure your time at USD is the best it can be, and focuses on two facets of student life- policy and programming. The policy side of AS focuses on different areas of student life and works to find innovative solutions to our campus issues. The programming side of AS, Torero Program Board (often referred to as TPB), fuels all kinds of campus activities like our fall and spring concerts, Diversity Week, events in San Diego, etc. To be in the loop, “Like” the AS Facebook page and for campus-wide event updates “Like” the TPB Facebook page.
Student leaders have been preparing all summer long and are excited for your arrival. Live life fully while you are here. Experience everything. Try new things. Get involved. Take risks. Study abroad. Be bold. Step out of your comfort zone. Don’t hold back! And every now and then, bite off a little bit more than you can chew.
Congratulations on being exactly where you are supposed to be and welcome to the Torero nation! So hopefully you’re ready, because in just a few short weeks OLÉ is going to rock your socks off.
